Biology 1 fieldtrip

Last Saturday and yesterday, Sunday, we had our biology 1 fieldtrip held in Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro. It was really a fun trip. We did a lot of things like trekking, rafting, and etc. The weather was so cool. We were like freezing even at lunch time because of the cool weather in the forest of Bukidnon, particularly in Cedar. We had to collect lots and lots of wood and set up a camp fire to ease the coolness in the enviroment. Some of us slept a little late because it was super cold. We also met new friends because we were grouped to six because only six persons were allowed to be in a raft but others exceeded to seven persons because there were not enough rafts for everybody. But not all of us went rafting with us because some opted to go to the mall. The whole trip was really a hit. If I were given a chance to do it again, I will not hesitate to say YES! That is the best proof I could ever give to let you all know how fun the trip was. So if I were you, go there now.

manual voting or poll automation?

I just would like to react on the decision of the comelec to use the poll automation machines for the 2010 elections. For me, I think it better to use the machines for the election because it is difficult to change the results of the election though there are a lot of hackers but if I would compare it with manual voting, obviously we all know what happened last elections, not only in the national but also local. But it is kinda like a very big gamble for me because the comelec never tried to use those machines in some not that really important elections and it isn't not complete yet. So how could they prove that these machines are truly effective and efficient on the coming national elections?
They had lots of time to prepare because of course they just get busy when the elections are coming up. They should have tried it before coming up with a decision to use these machines rather than having the usual voting process. I am not saying I disagreed with their decision, I just don't think they did the right thing.

My thoughts on the Christmas season

Christmas is a time of celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is not just about giving and receiving gifts, having a big feast and parties and homecomings. Christmas is a time of thanking God for the many blessings we have received most especially the birth of our Savior, the one who will save us from sin. God made himself Man so we could be saved from all the evil things the in the world. So it is very appropriate that we should think of ways to thank God for it. One way is the misa de galio commonly known as simbang gabi. Simbang gabi is sort of like our gift to our newborn king, Jesus Christ. So this coming December, don't forget to go to church and praise God for providing us with all the blessings we need in our daily lives.

recent happenings

Last week was probably the most tiring week I've had since the start of the second sem. We had a lot of assignments. The most complicated assignment was the one where we should cut out or print out articles which are examples of the common methods of paragraph development. It was really tiring cause there are a lot of methods of paragraph development and we had to find an example to each of them. I and my partner Ding really had our hands full on that particular assignment. The due date of our assignment is last friday 4:30 pm. Fortunately we passed it on the nick of time. Thank God. Well, we learned a lot of things from that experience alone so we didn't just learn the common methods of paragraph development, we also learned how to value time and to be always ahead of time. We should do our job and finish it as early as we could so we wouldn't be panicking when the deadline is coming.

My learnings in the past week

Our teacher had an important trip, so we only had one meeting which was last tuesday. From last tuesday meeting, I learned how to distinguish the main topic from a paragraph.
