recent happenings

Last week was probably the most tiring week I've had since the start of the second sem. We had a lot of assignments. The most complicated assignment was the one where we should cut out or print out articles which are examples of the common methods of paragraph development. It was really tiring cause there are a lot of methods of paragraph development and we had to find an example to each of them. I and my partner Ding really had our hands full on that particular assignment. The due date of our assignment is last friday 4:30 pm. Fortunately we passed it on the nick of time. Thank God. Well, we learned a lot of things from that experience alone so we didn't just learn the common methods of paragraph development, we also learned how to value time and to be always ahead of time. We should do our job and finish it as early as we could so we wouldn't be panicking when the deadline is coming.

That's all folks! Thank you!

My learnings in the past week

Our teacher had an important trip, so we only had one meeting which was last tuesday. From last tuesday meeting, I learned how to distinguish the main topic from a paragraph.

That's all! Thank you!

What I've learned the past week

I learned a lot of things in the past week in our English II class. I learned how to pick the right and appropriate topic, and narrowing it and then making a thesis statement. I learned that you should not just select any topic, you should make sure that your topic is interesting. I also realized that our teacher, Ma'am Lynnie has a very cute daughter.

That's all! Thank you!

What do I feel and think towards writing in English?

First of all, writing in English for me is easier than writing in Filipino because I am more comfortable with the English language than the Filipino language. Another reason is that from kinder to high school, I was taught to speak English all the time. But I wasn't banned to speak in Filipino, it's just that our school wants us to practice and master our speaking skills in the English language because this could help us in the future especially when we apply for a job. Those are the reasons why I feel very comfortable in writing and in speaking in English.

I think if we practice more and develop our writing skills in English, I think it will be of help to us in our future endeavors most especially when we apply for a job in the future and/or when we will desire to work abroad.
